DOROTHY McFADDEN, 81, of Paris passed from this life at 2:45 AM, Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Paris Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM, Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Holt and Billy Porter officiating.  Rev. Travis Porter will speak at the graveside committal service at Meadowbrook Gardens Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.  Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

She was born April 29, 1930 in Paris a daughter of Ed and Lovie Porter.  She married John McFadden on May 6, 1947 in Paris.  He died January 11, 2002.  Mrs. McFadden was retired after 30 years of service for Safeway where she worked in the meat department.

She loved and adored her family including her church family at the Paris Church of God where she was a faithful member for 49 years..

Mrs. McFadden is survived by three children, James D. McFadden and wife, Linda, David W. McFadden, and Carla Eastman and husband, Richard, all of Paris; four grandchildren, Jennifer Waggoner and husband, Mark of Paris, Lori Smith and husband, Larry of Keller, Texas, Dustin McFadden and Lisa of Paris, and Kassia McDaniel and husband, Chauncey of Madison, Mississippi; seven great-grandchildren, Tanner Waggoner, Ty Waggoner, Lauren Smith, Luke Smith, Kaleb McFadden, Rylan Gage McFadden, and Fayth McDaniel; two brothers, Rev. Travis Porter and wife, Wanda of Cleveland, Tennessee and Billy Porter and wife, Pat of Paris; and one sister, Norma Bryan and husband, Sebourn of Paris.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Poole.

Pallbearers will be Dustin McFadden, Kaleb McFadden, Tanner Waggoner, Mark Waggoner, Ty Waggoner, and Larry Smith.  Rylan Gage McFadden is named as honorary pallbearer.

If desired, memorials may be made to the Children's Department of the Paris Church of God.
