Venita Pearl Sanders, 84, of Arthur City passed away Sunday August 29, 2010 in Honey Grove Nursing Home. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services 2:00 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 31 at Grant Cemetery in Grant, Oklahoma with Rev. Rocky Burrow officiating.

She was born August 14, 1926 in Bokchito, Oklahoma a daughter of Emmitt and Minnie Jones McClour. She married J.D. Sanders in 1956 in Paris, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Stars.

Survivors include two children, James Roy Cooke, Sr., Susan Darlene Morales; grandchildren Silke Frense, Christina Golightly, Wendy Huddleston, James Cooke, Jr., Tracey Shipman; ten Great Grandchildren; brothers Clyde McClour, Melvin McClour; sisters Ann Ball and Juanita Phillips and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband J.D. Sanders.
