STEPHEN MICHAEL NASH, 43, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at his home in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:30 PM Tuesday evening at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home, Paris, Texas. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8017 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75225 with Father Sean Martin serving as celebrant. Co-celebrants will be Fr. Anthony Alphonse and Fr. Michael Barone. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Steve was born May 17, 1970 in Paris to Gary and Becky Blackhurst Nash. He attended Paris High School then went on to receive his BBA from Texas Christian University where he was a proud member of the TCU Horned Frog football team. GO FROGS! After graduating, Steve began his career in medical sales and eventually moved into software and technology sales where he spent the remainder of his career. An electrifying smile was known to all that knew Steve. His unconditional love for family and friends was felt by everyone and his passion for all things TCU. Steve was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, TCU Letterman’s Association, and Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Paul Nash and Fred L. Blackhurst, and an uncle, Glen Nash. Steve is survived by his daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Nash of Austin; his parents Becky and Gary Nash of Paris; one sister, Stacey Nash England and husband, Guy and their children, Harrison and Reid England of Austin; his paternal grandmother, Mildred Nash; his maternal grandmother, Adelaide Blackhurst of Franklin, Pennsylvania; and numerous aunts, uncles, extended family, and special friend Tanya McCullough.

Pallbearers will be Eric Brubeck, Chad Brubeck, Ryan Brubeck, Michael Blackhurst, Scott McKinnon, Mike Sullivan, Tom Rodgers, and Clifford Bronson.
